Community Housing Development Organization
(CHDO)

Change Happens CDC is a Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO)! A CHDO is a private nonprofit, community-based service organization that has obtained staff with the capacity to develop affordable housing for the community it serves.

The CDC has been certified as a CHDO through the City of Houston's Housing and Community Development Department (HCDD). There are currently only two organizations certified with the City of Houston, and we are proud to be one of them.
